Energy Saving Designs in Corridor Areas with Batwing Light Distribution

Abstract—In this study, the use of the LED luminaire with a batwing beam shape in a corridor is analyzed. Compared to the T-bar fluorescent luminaire or lambertian beam shape lighting design, the batwing lighting distribution design in corridors can reduce fixture numbers while creating the same illuminance conditions. Therefore, a suitable lighting distribution design can be achieved in the corridor which saves energy.
