Gradient-index analysis of silicone package for white-light LED integrated light engine

Abstract:

           The optimized packaging configuration for formation gradient-index in silicone encapsulation in white-light LED integrated light engine has been investigated in this study. By introducing mixed high refractive index encapsulant material in the inner layer, the limited light is extracted. Ray tracing simulation for high refractive index silicon mixed with yellow YAG:Ce phosphor as conformal and remote phosphor type
